We don’t charge a dime for candidates to participate. Even if a candidate does advertise with us, it does not mean they’ll win.
The company’s published address needs to be in the Mountain Home area or provide a product/service to the Mountain Home area. Also, the nominee must be a registered business with the state of Idaho.
No, you cannot pay to enter or win. Participation is free. If you would like to win, be the best and get votes!
Yes. Although the final results ultimately come down to the support of your customers, you can nominate yourself. You can even vote (once) for yourself. If your business falls in different categories you can feel free to nominate yourself for other categories as well. If your business falls under a category doesn’t currently exist, you can suggest it here.
A candidate only needs to be nominated once to be on our radar.
Nominations of last year’s categories are automatically nominated as long as their online reputation is still in check.
Be the best and get votes! The business with the highest percentage of votes will be this year’s Best in Mtn. Home!
In the case of a tie, each winner would be considered the best in Mountain Home. Each business would be eligible to display their winning sticker at their business.
Believe us, they sure try! The integrity of the awards is of utmost importance to us, the nominees, and winners. Cheating will not be tolerated!
At our sole discretion, if we determine a nominee has attempted to unethically improve its standing within the awards, or hurt another nominee’s standing in the awards, we may remove votes, disqualify the nominee, or strip the finalist or winner of the title.

Yes, this is actually encouraged! If you have taken great care of your customers, they should have no problem supporting you.
No, this is grounds for disqualification.
Yes, you may be nominated for multiple categories as long as they are relevant (subject to our approval).
The privacy of our voters is very important to us. As such, we do not reveal who they are and who they nominated or voted for.
We are unable to accept every organization that is nominated. So, although an organization may be nominated, it does not mean they will be named as an actual nominee. It could be that the approval system is just taking some time. If you feel like a business that was nominated, meets all the requirements to be listed, but it still does not appear. Feel free to reach out to us.
As much as we can appreciate why you would be curious about your nomination and vote counts, we do not divulge these numbers. We believe that doing so offers no upside and would open us up to unnecessary conflict and disputes. It’s just not worth the risk for us because we offer participation in these business awards as a free public service.
Business should be located in the Mountain Home area or provide a product/service exclusively to the Mountain Home area. This includes the Air Force Base and some of the other surrounding communities.
Sorry, but voting is not broken down at the individual level. Individual staff members are not eligible to be nominated, only the business. For instance: all of the individual car salespeople are not eligible, only the dealership.
If that individual still makes that business your favorite place, vote for that business. There is no “I” in “Team” 🙂
